The program focuses on 3 main topics interested by import-export companies:

  • Macroeconomic factors affect import and export sectors, forecast interest rate and exchange rate fluctuations in the country.
  • ESG barriers of large markets to Vietnam's export products and technical solutions & roadmap for businesses to comply with regulations.
  • Advantages and disadvantages when China opens

In 2024, in addition to exploiting existing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), the conclusion of negotiations and implementation of FTAs with new markets such as Israel, UAE will further promote trade, investment and especially Vietnam's exports... Strengthened and upgraded relations with major partners such as China, US, EU create premise for expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation, the import and export activities have well diversified markets. Particularly in the past year, the effective opening of exports to China has further helped increase export turnover to this market.

Although trade cooperation between Vietnam and countries has improved, two-way trade turnover is still not commensurate with the real potential of the parties. Besides, Europe or Vietnam's major export markets have issued many ESG regulations such as: Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles; carbon import tax regulations and carbon adjustment mechanisms... These regulations pose a problem for Vietnamese exporting companies to have a roadmap for change, technical improvements - processes to meet such standards.

For Vietnam's import and export goods to reach markets more effectively, companies need to have specific strategies for each type of goods according to the needs of each group of countries. These strategies need to adapt to macroeconomic conditions and fluctuations in interest rates, exchange rates as well as ESG regulations for Vietnamese export products.
